There are 20 orders remaining which we hope will be picked tomorrow (Friday) by 4:00 p.m.:

Grade 7: 9 orders to be picked up

Grade 8: 9 orders to be picked up

Grade 9: 2 orders to be picked up

Please check in at the office if you are picking orders up during the school day tomorrow, and I will have a student bring your jars to the main lobby.

I know that this is a busy time of year, so please contact me at ampeters@edu.pe.ca if you need to make arrangements for an alternate pick-up time.

Our Recipes in a Jar have arrived!! We are set up for students to pick up their orders today (Thursday, December 15th). Students with smaller orders have picked them up at lunch, or they can pick them up at the end of the day (to transport home in their backpack or grocery bag). For students with larger orders, we will be set up in the cafeteria and parents can come and collect them after school (3:15 – 5:15).

EWS Honours Band students are asked to join the classroom as soon as possible in order to access listening links, PDF sheet music files, as well as rehearsal schedule updates.

Reminder: Students will collect their entire order and they will deliver the Recipe Jars to the people who ordered from them. We have copies of the order sheets (both in person and online) to go home with the orders.

Congratulations to all of the band students on their fantastic performances at the Christmas concert! I’m always amazed by the incredible progress these talented students make every year from September to December. A special thank you to our MC’s Hailey Blanchard and Molly Rose Connolly who led us through the evening like pros! I’d also like to extend a big thank you to all of the EWS staff members who helped out before, during and after the show. And, finally, thank you to all of the parents, guardians, friends, and family members who came to the concert last evening. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Early morning band and after school band practices are now finished for the first term. We will begin extra-curricular rehearsals again when we come back to school in January.

*The Recipes in Jars order arrived yesterday afternoon. I will be in touch with the parents who volunteered to help out with these orders tomorrow, and we will organize a time to sort the orders. I will post details about a pick-up time early next week. Thank you for your support with this as well!

Tomorrow is a big day! Grade 8 early morning band, grade 9 and 7 band practices during the school day, and Jazz band after school (see full schedule on previous post). All students will need to being their instruments and music in order to participate.

See you tomorrow night! Students are asked to arrive at 6:30 pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00 pm!

It’s been a busy week and the music for the concert is sounding great. There will be three more busy rehearsal days before we relax a bit leading into the holidays. Please check the schedule below, and make sure that students are aware of which days they have band rehearsals. Thank you, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening!

1:00-1:30:  Jazz Band will set up all of the band equipment in the gym and do a sound check

2:00-3:00:  Gym will be set up for the concert (chairs, sound, AV, etc.) 

3:00-4:00:  Jazz Band final run through

6:30:  Students arrive for concert

7:00:  EWS CHRISTMAS CONCERT
