Being part of our school music program is an exciting and rewarding experience! Students will:

•  Learn new musical skills
• Make new friends
• Participate in trips and extracurricular events
• Develop teamwork and collaboration
• Build perseverance through practice and patience

Many of our band students are also active in sports teams and French Immersion, and we fully support involvement in all areas of school life.

🗓️ Program Details

Exploratory Courses: Students in the band program will have the opportunity to participate in Industrial Arts, Foods, Clothing and Technology courses.

• Early Morning Rehearsals: Tuesdays
• Time: 7:35 – 8:45 a.m.
• Location: EWS music room
• Note: Students must arrange their own transportation for early morning rehearsals

🎺 Band Camp Opportunity

• Eligible students may attend Band Camp (late August)
• Registration information provided after acceptance

Important:

• Englewood students with 1+ years of experience are not required to attend beginner camp (Optional: Register for the Intermediate Full-Day Camp)

📌 Commitment Matters

• This is a 3-year program
• Includes a required extracurricular component
• Please consider your availability before applying
• No withdrawals can be accommodated during the school year

🎼 Instrument Selection

Students will be asked to choose from flute, clarinet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, and tuba

Selections are submitted after applications are received.
