It was nice to see a few folks in the band area over the past couple of days. I really enjoy working with all of the band classes this year, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the Christmas concert on December 13th.

The grade 7 and grade 9 band students received practice checklists this week, and a grade 8 version will be handed out on in their band classes on Tuesday. These practice guides are to be returned (signed by a parent or guardian) on December 5th. A copy of each guide will also be posted in Google Classroom.

I am not available for early morning practices on November 28th, 29th or 30th, so all extra-curricular practices are cancelled for this week. I have asked students to consider it a practice week, and I have really encouraged them to focus on learning their individual band parts at home. A new playing assignment for each grade level has also been added to Google Classroom
