Brass, woodwind, and percussion students from schools across the Maritimes will gather at Mount Allison University on Saturday, October 14 for the annual #MtAllison Honour Band Day. Good luck to the 12 East Wiltshire grade 9 band students who will be taking part this year 🎶

Hi everyone!

We are at the midpoint of our campaign and the students have sold 150 items and have raised $1502.50! We are almost halfway to our goal of matching profits from last year’s band fundraiser…thank you so much for your support.

A few students have been offered direct donations to our band program. This is always very much appreciated! Please send cash or cheques in an envelope labeled “Band Program Donation” and include your student’s name and class.

The campaign will wrap up on October 20th and orders will be delivered to the school and sent home with students on November 3rd.

Thank you for your support of our band fundraiser! We have already raised $1,101.50 for band travel and special activities. Our goal is $3000, and we still have until Friday, October 20th to get there. All of the information for the campaign is pinned to the top of the band blog. There is also a paper “brochure” available in the band room for students who wish to distribute it to family or friends.

A problem with the order page on the Anne’s Chocolate page has now been fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are the first group to do this fundraiser and the Anne folks are working very hard to make it go smoothly for us. Just a quick note to let you know that we will be following the regular early morning band schedule this week; Grade 7’s will rehearse on Tuesday, Grade 8’s on Wednesday, and Grade 9’s on Thursday. Students are reminded that attendance is taken in the band room at 7:45 a.m. so that we can get each rehearsal started on time. Thank you!
