Hi everyone,

The recording session for the East Wiltshire Virtual Christmas Concert is currently booked for Tuesday, December 8th in the morning.

There is no early morning band rehearsal scheduled for Monday, November 30th.

I will provide an update on the Christmas concert rehearsal schedule for this week as soon as possible.

Early morning band will be held tomorrow for 8E and 8F only. We will be rehearsing in two groups; one in the gym and one in the band room with assistance from my student teacher. Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to rehearse full grade level ensembles in the gym this week.

Students in 8C are asked not to attend early morning band in the morning. I will use their regularly scheduled band class this week to rehearse for the concert.

Grade 9 band students will also rehearse in two groups (9D in the band room, 9AG in the gym) on Thursday.

Just a reminder that band fees ($25) are now being collected and are due by November 30th. Band fees can be paid by e-transfer, cheque or cash.  Payments can be made in the office during parent teacher interview times. E-transfers can be sent to eastwiltshire@edu.pe.ca. Please provide the student’s name, class, and reason for payment for e-transfers. Thank you!

Thank you to all of the students who participated in our virtual Remembrance Day ceremony on Tuesday. Although we were apart, we were able to share a memorable experience together as a school community.

All band students are asked to please take their instrument home on Tuesday afternoon. Many students have overdue assignments to complete, and all students have new band music in their folders that should be practiced over the long weekend.

Students who are handing in late assignments this week are asked to please send me an email (ampeters@edu.pe.ca) to let me know that they have been submitted. I will not be accepting any late assignments after Thursday, Nov. 12th.

The grade 9 saxophone class that was scheduled for Monday, November 16 is canceled and will be held instead on Tuesday, November 17th during the lunch break.
